Degenerative Disc Disease
Discs are Key
Spinal discs act as spacers between vertebra. If discs degenerate, the vertebra rub together causing arthritis. Eventually this leads to spinal stenosis or spondylolithesis, which put direct pressure on the spinal cord. This causes pain, weakness and loss of function. Many old people need wheel chairs and lose their bowel and bladder function for this reason.
Water, Nutrition, Movement
Spinal discs don't have a blood supply. They rely on movement to pull in nutrition and fluid. When a spinal joint becomes stuck, the disc starts to degenerate.
We focus on the Disc
Activator chiropractic mobilizes and aligns spinal joints restoring normal movement. Cox chiropractic stretches each disc pulling in fluid and nutrition. If the disc isn't too far gone, it can heal. In other words, the degeneration process can be reversed.
Kelley Chiropractic is Different
The techniques Dr. Kelley uses do not involve spinal twisting or popping and are safe for everyone. Dr. Kelley partners with her patients to reduce the need for repeated visits by recommending exercises to stabilize the spine and lifestyle changes to improve nutrition, hydration and movement.
